Summary: Returning to her old master's side for the first time since she left the Order, Ahsoka reflects on her past.
Word Count: 4,592
A/N: I don't usually write for clone wars (despite it being my longest running hyperfixation to date) but it's my sister's birthday and she's been begging me to write a fic for her for years so I thought I'd make that happen for her. Everyone say "happy birthday JJ!!"
Thank you so much for reading!!
Warnings: None
~~my taglist is all for Loki fics so I'm not putting it here but if you do want to be tagged on any potential future clone wars fics please let me know!!~~
Read it on Ao3!
Ahsoka knew she shouldn’t be excited.
It was hard to describe the feelings churning in her chest as the Mandalorian ship docked in the hanger. It must have read like dread to Bo-Katan, who patted her shoulder as they first passed into Republic airspace.
“Don’t worry. Hopefully, we won’t be here long.”
Ahsoka swallowed, nodded. She couldn’t blame the Mandalorian. There was a sense of dread building within her the closer they came to disembarking, even if it wasn’t the kind her companion expected. Just seeing the Jedi cruiser when they came out of hyperspace had brought a lump to her throat. The thought of who was waiting for her on that ship made even tighter. And so she had to keep herself cold, keep herself focused on the task at hand, shut down the longing that rose in her chest the moment she saw how her old master lit up when he said her name. She was here on a mission, not to visit or reminisce. Certainly not to return.
She just missed it so much.
Ahsoka felt guilty for missing it. This was something she had chosen – she could have gone back after everything. That’s what everyone had expected, what everyone had wanted. It was her decision to walk away, a necessary decision, and she couldn’t let herself regret that now. Besides, there had to be something morally reprehensible about pining for times of war, right? It wasn’t the suffering she craved – no, she had seen enough death to haunt her nightmares until the day she herself succumbed to it. Ahsoka didn’t want to go back to that.
But … she missed them. Her time with the Martez sisters, kind as they may have been, had only made the gaping hole in her chest feel emptier. She missed her friends. She missed sitting in the mess hall with the clones and listening to their stories, missed the thrill of excitement when they turned to her and let her tell them her own – they must have been so amused by her, this fourteen-year-old girl trying to live up to their war stories with her tales of training at the Jedi temple. But it was an affectionate sort of amusement. They saw her as a little sister even as she grew to outrank them in experience as well as position, and she found their paternalist nature bothered her less and less as it grew tempered with mutual respect.
She missed Master Kenobi, his ever-assured composure and his droll humor, the way his brow would quirk when he was holding back a laugh. It was funny – he wasn’t her master, and yet he had always been around, ready with an instruction or a quip or some word of wisdom. She got the feeling at times that he saw her just as much as his padawan as Anakin’s, although he was careful never to overstep his authority. Sometimes Ahsoka used to consider an alternate reality, where she had been apprenticed to him as he had expected when she stepped off that shuttle on Christophsis, how things might have played out differently. For as much as she admired Obi-Wan Kenobi, as much as she cared for him, she somehow struggled to imagine a world where she fit well alongside him as his student. And she wasn’t the only one who felt that way.
“You’re reckless, little one. You never would have made it as Obi-Wan’s padawan.”
Oh, Anakin.
His name had been legend amongst her youngling class, even more so than his master. He was just so cool – not like the stuffy masters clogging the council chambers, no, Anakin Skywalker was young, and he walked through the halls in black robes you could see from all the way across the Temple, and he was fascinating. A Jedi so renown for his military prowess that he rarely had the chance to return to the Temple after one battle ended before another began, whose success rate was as high as his casualties were low. He destroyed a Trade Federation battleship all by himself at nine years old, the first time he ever set foot in a starfighter cockpit. He dueled Count Dooku at the Battle of Geonosis as a padawan and survived with only a missing hand. When Ahsoka had learned that he was to be her master, she had been thrilled.
Of course, it hadn’t gone quite how she expected. Anakin learned that he was receiving a padawan only when she showed up at his proverbial doorstep, and they barely had any time to process this turn of events before the Clone Wars came roaring behind at her heels. The whole thing was rather whiplash-inducing – Ahsoka had gone from being the top of her class, living off a perpetual feast of praise for her form, her reflexes, her ingenuity, to being an unwanted annoyance that couldn’t seem to do anything right. She was as resilient as she was enthusiastic, but after the fiasco at the shield generator Anakin’s frustration was really beginning to weigh down on her.
And then he said it.
“… but you might make it as mine.”
The years would prove them to be a well-matched pair, albeit an unconventional one. They bickered more than was likely appropriate of a master and apprentice, but when it came moments of battle the two of them were of one mind. With such an unconventional Jedi as her teacher, Ahsoka found herself learning all sorts of things that she had never dreamed of while in Temple classrooms, experiences that often involved sneaking behind the council’s back to do so. After all, Rex told her once with a wry smile, there was nothing General Skywalker enjoyed more than disobeying a direct order. And for all his feigned irritation, it became clear early on even to her that Anakin cared for her more than he ever would be willing to admit.
It was the overprotectiveness. Especially in the beginning, Anakin was constantly fretting about her safety, pulling her in from situations she was certain she could handle, keeping her off of missions he deemed too dangerous. It used to bother her so much. How could it not? If he trusted her abilities – trusted her – to take care of herself, surely he wouldn’t be so scared to let her put his training to the test? Because he was scared, she came to realize. It took a while to recognize it for what it was, but his fear was a palpable thing, something that pulsated through the Force like a frantic beating heart any time she took a risk in front of him. And boy, did she take risks in front of him.
There was one time, early on, when they had been tasked with retrieving an important ship log from a drifting separatist vessel. It wasn’t long after boarding that they were able to determine why the ship had been abandoned: the reactor core was leaking, and the bridge was slowly filling with contaminated gas. Rex said that the mission was a bust – there was no way to safely retrieve the information they had come for, and no way of knowing that it was even worth the risk. After a bit, Anakin had been inclined to agree, but Ahsoka couldn’t stomach the idea of returning to the cruiser without what they had come so far for. The vents were small enough for her to fit through, and copying the log shouldn’t take too long, and besides, Ahsoka was adept at holding her breath …
She was grinning when she emerged from the vent once more, datastick in hand and only slightly dizzy, but Anakin had been practically seething.
“What were you thinking?” He snapped, forcing her to sit against the wall the way one might an unruly child. “No – sit down. You’re staying right there until Kix has checked you out.”
“But I got the data—”
“You could have been killed.” He grabbed the datastick from her with his mechanical hand, and for a moment Ahsoka almost expected him to crush it between his fingers. Instead, he only held it before her face. “This is not worth that.”
She scowled. She had just saved the mission and of course, all the thanks she gets is a lecture. “You risk your life all the time – I don’t know why you get mad at me when I do it!”
“I take necessary risks,” he retorted. “Nothing about this was necessary.”
“But—”
“No. I’m not arguing with you on this, Ahsoka.” His tone was firm. The conversation was over.
Yes, he was scared. It was strange to realize that – fear was perhaps the most un-Jedi-like emotion one could possess. Didn’t Master Yoda always say that fear was the path to the Dark Side? But Ahsoka had always known her master was a peculiar Jedi, and more often than not his peculiarities played to his strengths. He feared loss of life, and so he saw to it that lives were not lost. It was a dangerous game. Life and death is so often beyond anyone’s control, and she knew Anakin struggled with that reality. Sometimes he panicked. Sometimes he lost control.
There was that time on Mortis …
Ahsoka didn’t remember much of Mortis, and practically none at all of her time spent in the clutches of the force-wielder they called The Son – it all seemed to fade together into some sort of blurry nightmare the moment she opened her eyes once more on the shuttle. But she remembered that. She remembered dragging herself up off the ground, coughing the stale air out of her lungs as her vision swam behind her eyes. And Anakin was there. She couldn’t even see him, really, but she felt him next to her, watching over her … and then he was holding her.
He laughed a bit awkwardly when he pulled away, tried to play it off like everything was normal and nothing had happened – hey, Snips – and they never spoke about it again. But Ahsoka remembered it. Her master had never hugged her before, and never did again. Jedi tended to shy away from that sort of physical embrace in general – it was too emotional, too irrational, a sign of attachment. Ahsoka rather thought he hadn’t even meant to do it. Something had come over him and he just grabbed her as tightly as he could.
Take it easy on him, Obi-Wan would tell her weeks later, when Ahsoka was stewing about another new mission Anakin had decided was too dangerous to include her. He watched you die. He’s not going to forget that any time soon.
So quickly did the moment pass that she hadn’t even thought to hug him back.
She regretted that sometimes.
In retrospect, there was an irony in how frantic he became whenever he felt she was in any sort of danger when compared to his training methods. Ahsoka couldn’t imagine what the council might have said if they knew Anakin was regularly ordering his men to fire stun shots at his padawan until she missed a deflection and landed unconscious on the hanger floor. But the more you thought about it, the more it went hand-in-hand.
“I want you to be prepared for anything,” Anakin had told her. “I want to know you could survive anything.” Overpreparation, due to overprotection. It made sense.
Though it hadn’t seemed fair to her at first – how did this prepare her for anything? She could pass the droid tests with flying colors. When would she ever need to fight the clones? (there was the true irony – Ahsoka never could have foreseen the frenzied chase through the sewers of Coruscant). It felt as though her master was setting her up to fail.
But as she got older, as she learned to foresee the shots before they were fired, as she found herself going longer and longer – five minutes before she got hit with a blast, then ten, then twenty, then half an hour, until Anakin was calling the exercise over before she ever ended up on the floor – only then did she realize that he was doing the opposite. She learned to think on her feet, to pay attention to all things at once without ever losing focus, to stay calm and collected and in control no matter what it was she was facing.
It especially came in handy in the moments when Ahsoka found herself responsible for more than just herself. Jinx and O-Mer on the Trandoshan Island Four, for one, or Lux and his team of Onderon rebels. Or the younglings on the Gathering test. Just the thought of that series of events gave Ahsoka a headache, even though it had all turned out alright in the end. All in all, she had been pretty pleased with how she had handled Hondo’s sudden unprovoked attack, even if it had gone horribly wrong in the last seconds of their escape. Finding herself overpowered and handcuffed on a drunken pirate’s ship was certainly not her brightest moment, but oh well. They had all made it out in the end.
“I haven’t spoken to Anakin,” Obi-Wan told her once she and the younglings were safely aboard the cruiser. It was a calm, quiet statement, an offhand remark that almost masked the seriousness beneath it.
Ahsoka nodded, matching his faux unconcern. “Good. Best not to worry him.”
They stood there nodding together on the bridge, as if they weren’t both acutely aware that a worried Anakin might have resulted in a Republic invasion of Florrum instead of the Separatists.
Of course, he had to find out eventually, and when he did Ahsoka could sense him fuming all the way from the hanger as he stormed up to meet them.
“You just let him go?” he snapped at Obi-Wan. “He attacked and boarded a non-military vessel, tried to kill six children to steal their kyber crystals, and held a Jedi commander captive for several rotations and you just let him fly off into the sunset?”
“Grievous destroyed his base, Master. He lost his stronghold and most of his men. He’s not going to bother us again anytime soon.” Ahsoka hoped she sounded appropriately soothing. She had told Anakin that Hondo had planned to ransom her to the Separatists to collect a Jedi bounty, which riled him up enough as it was. That was fine. He didn’t need to know about the private buyer looking for a female Jedi. Quite honestly, Ahsoka would’ve been happy if she never had to think about that ever again – she didn’t need Anakin using it as a reason to hunt the pirate across the galaxy and beat him to a bloody pulp.
“Besides, we have more pressing matters to attend to,” said Obi-Wan, ever the face of logic. “Ahsoka is fine, Anakin. The younglings are safe. We must move forward.”
Her master grunted, still scowling, but relenting all the same. It was later, as they headed for their quarters, that he brought it up again.
“How did you end up on their ship in the first place?”
“I had the younglings reroute power to the engines to break the boarding tube.” Ahsoka smirked. “Sucked Hondo and all his men back to his ship. I just got caught up in it.”
Anakin raised his eyebrows, considering the strategy. “Impressive. You came up with that on the spot?”
Her smirk widened. “Yep.” Her master was never one for superfluous praise – whenever he complimented her actions, she knew he was truly impressed. It never failed to fill her with pride.
Of course, he always managed to find something meriting improvement.
“You should have waited until you were in a sealed chamber, though,” he said. “That suction could have killed you even without the pirates.”
“Well, that was the plan.” Ahsoka huffed. “There were … complications.”
He snorted. “Isn’t there always?” They turned the corner of the hall, nodding in acknowledgment at the brief salutes from passing clones. General, Commander.
After a bit, Anakin cleared his throat. “Well, we’re heading to Coruscant for a bit, so hopefully you’ll get a bit of a break before we’re back in the Outer Rim.” He glanced at her for only a moment before turning forward once more. “I’ve had enough of loaning you out to others.”
Ahsoka grinned to herself. Oh Anakin, never one to share. “Sounds good to me.”
It wasn’t often that Anakin “loaned her out” so to speak – there were precious few who he seemed to trust with her. Obi-Wan of course was an exception, and Rex, and Senator Amidala (although Ahsoka always got the impression that he was more trusting her with the senator, rather than the other way around), but even then, he’d get noticeably grumpy when he had to send her off on a mission that he himself was not a part of. But Ahsoka knew his moodiness was a compliment, deep down. Even if he didn’t want to part with her, he trusted her abilities enough that he couldn’t think of a reason to keep her behind.
“You and Master Skywalker are very close,” Barriss had commented once, while they were both on a rare break from battle at the temple.
The way she said it – like it was a bad thing, like there was something wrong with it – made Ahsoka frown.
“I suppose,” she said, hoping that the prickliness in her chest didn’t appear in her voice. “But aren’t all masters supposed to be close with their padawans?” The bond between a Jedi teacher and his apprentice is strong, Cad Bane had sneered down at her. Although even Ahsoka had to admit that she wasn’t sure how many other Jedi would have chosen the life of their padawan over that of thousands of innocent children …
She chose not to think about it.
Barriss only hummed. “I suppose so …” She didn’t look up.
Ahsoka felt bad for Barriss, which was funny because she was pretty sure Barriss felt bad for her. Barriss was uncomfortable around Anakin – she never would admit it out loud, but Ahsoka could tell. And she understood, to a point. Barriss found comfort in etiquette and decorum, in following the rules and sticking to the plan, the kind of thing that would make Anakin spontaneously combust. And Anakin’s methods … certainly differed from Master Luminara’s, that was certain. Barriss was horrified when Ahsoka mentioned how she trained with the clones, so much so that she never brought it up with anyone else ever again.
But Ahsoka felt bad for her. Luminara might never send her padawan into a throng of armed soldiers to fend off blaster shots until she succumbed to a stun blast, but that was the problem, wasn’t it? Anakin did what he did because he wanted her to survive. She knew that better than anything else, and everyone else did too. Luminara herself admitted it, on Geonosis, after the weak signal Ahsoka had frantically hotwired meters and meters beneath the smoking debris brought Anakin digging his way down to the both of them.
“Your master never gave up on you.”
Of course he didn’t. Anakin believed in her, would always do everything he could to find her safely, made sure that she would be able to make it out herself when he couldn’t. But there was the unspoken admission in there as well, and she was certain Barriss heard it, had known it from the beginning. Because while Ahsoka held her breath and flicked the wires of her commlink against the power cell, Barriss sat back, her face a mask of stone, and waited for the air to run out.
Sometimes Ahsoka wondered how things might have been different if they had switched – if Barriss had found herself Anakin’s padawan, and Ahsoka Luminara’s. Would Barriss still abandon the Order if her master did not abandon her first? Would Ahsoka do so instead? She supposed she already did, in a way.
She felt guilty for leaving. She didn’t regret it, necessarily – she couldn’t have stayed after that, after everything. Ahsoka had made her decision before she walked into the council chambers that afternoon, but nothing they said made her question it. If the weight of the situation hadn’t been so overwhelming, she might have laughed – the only Jedi who ever apologized to her was Anakin, the only Jedi in the room who had nothing to apologize for.
But that was what made her feel guilty – the fact that he apologized to her, the way he smiled so warmly at her as he held out her silka beads, how he seemed so certain, so excited that things would finally return to as they were. And the way he went running after her – she had known he would. Some part of her had hoped she’d make it out of the temple before he caught her, because she was afraid he’d talk her out of it. She almost couldn’t look at him.
“What about me? I believed in you, I stood by you!”
That’s what hurt. Knowing that he didn’t understand – that he’d never truly understand, no matter how much he insisted that he did – that he’d never be able to accept that it wasn’t about him and that there was nothing more he could have done to keep her … that hurt. It’s not about you, Anakin, but he’d never be able to see it. He was the reason she almost stayed, but he’d only ever remember that she walked away.
“The Jedi Order is your life. You can’t just throw it away like this. Ahsoka, you are making a mistake.”
“Maybe. But I have to sort this out on my own. Without the council, and without you.”
He trained her to survive, with or without him. She just didn’t think he considered that she’d ever choose to be without him.
…
The meeting with her old masters didn’t go as smoothly as she had hoped. Realistically, Ahsoka had known it would be unlikely that she’d be able to convince Obi-Wan to drop everything and invade a neutral system, even if it was in the name of catching Maul. But Anakin was always ready for a fight, and both of them knew the danger of leaving Maul in a position of unchecked power throughout the galaxy. Ahsoka had thought that maybe they’d be open to it. But as expected, Obi-Wan had been resistant, and Anakin’s interests seemed to lay more in reconnecting than with business. And then of course Bo-Katan got upset and antagonistic with them, which Obi-Wan deescalated with his typical polite composure but which certainly did not help their case.
She was also caught off guard by how much Anakin and the clones had prepared for her. Just hearing the same old greetings as they walked through the halls – General, Commander – was overwhelming. The 501st’s repainted helmets with her facial markings left her absolutely speechless. Ahsoka had expected the men to be bitter upon her return – surely, they’d be hurt, that she had abandoned them at a point of the war when they needed her help most. She hadn’t been prepared for how eager they were to have her return.
It was a problem. She almost wished they hated her. As it was, it only served to further weaken her resolve. It made her wish to stay even more.
And then of course there was Anakin, who was as excited as a puppy the moment she stepped off the gangway. She wouldn’t have been surprised if he had planned all this specifically to coax her back for good – or perhaps he had convinced himself she was back for good already, and this was his welcoming home party. Either way, the ache in her heart only grew when he pulled out the box with her old lightsaber hilts, retrieved from the pits of Coruscant and polished shiny as new. How long must he have searched to recover them? How long must he have worked to restore them? How many hours had he spent with them, that their blades shifted from green to his shade of blue? The probable answers brought tears to her eyes. Ahsoka plucked them from the box and it felt like coming home. His smile welcomed her back.
“That’s what friends are for.”
But just when it seemed that the invasion of Maul’s Mandalore would be approved, word came in that Coruscant was under attack. The Chancellor was in danger. The fleet was to be dispatched immediately. Ahsoka nearly saw red.
But Anakin stepped in – it was odd, seeing him take up the role as mediator, but it suited him more than one would expect. His suggestion of splitting the 501st, promoting Rex to Commander and sending them with Ahsoka to Mandalore, was acceptable enough to Obi-Wan.
“You capture Maul, I’ll take care of Grievous – with any luck, this will all be over soon.”
“Master Kenobi always said there was no such thing as luck.”
She could hear the smirk dripping into his voice. “Good thing I taught you otherwise.”
Ahsoka watched as he walked away, the lump in her throat growing stronger with every step he took. Why did she feel on the brink of tears? It was almost over – in a few rotations, they’d be sitting together exchanging stories over lunch like old friends. Anakin was capable. He’d have the Coruscant situation wrapped up in a neat little bow quicker than one could blink. She’d be seeing him again. Of course she would.
Why then, did she suddenly feel so scared?
“Anakin!”
Ahsoka didn’t really have a reason for calling him back – she just needed him to stop, don’t walk away, if only so she could see his face again. When he did turn back to look at her, brows raised quizzically, she felt almost frozen.
She thought of Mortis, how surprising that had been, how wrong it was for a Jedi to lose control of their emotions like that.
But I’m no Jedi.
Anakin wasn’t expecting it. She felt his confusion in the air as she rushed to close the gap between them, felt him stiffen when she threw her arms around his shoulders. She had to move fast, after all – fast enough to keep herself from overthinking her way out of acting. Once she had though, time seemed to slow to a halt.
Anakin softened far before she did on Mortis. It was only a millisecond before she felt his hands snake around her back, pressing her as tightly to his chest as she did him. Perhaps he had been waiting for this, hoping for it, since she stepped on to the cruiser. He rested his chin on the crown of her head, nestled in the valley between her montrals. That felt nice. Holding him, being held by him – that felt nice too. Ahsoka didn’t want to let go.
Eventually she had to – although her master seemed even more reluctant than she to relinquish his grip. He studied her when they had stepped away from each other, a gentle sort of concern etched across his features.
“You alright, Snips?” he asked softly.
Ahsoka nodded. Swallowed. Found her words. “Good luck out there.”
He exhaled, an amused huff. “You too,” he said, with a gentle pat against her arm. “See you in a bit.”
Ahsoka watched as he left, that ever-present Anakin jaunt in his step as he hurried off down the halls. She wasn’t sure what she was worried about. They’d see each other again.
Some things never changed.

Bo Katan x Fem! Reader (This is the Way)
Summary: Bo Katan is new to the covert. You just want to make her feel at home. Part 1 of 2.
You had waited in the shadows when Din had arrived with his new travel companion, the Nite Owl Bo Katan. Your brother had been declared an apostate some months ago, and you were happy he was back. Happy he and Grogu had returned unscathed and that he was being welcomed back into the tribe. Like this Nite Owl was.
You liked her armor, you decided. Painted blue with Owl markings on her helmet. You liked the way she carried herself. The way she glowed in the darkness of the caves.
Maybe it was a good thing Din became an apostate.
When the greetings were over and most of the Mandalorians had dispersed, you watched Din for a few moments as he talked with Bo Katan. He wasn't paying attention to you, but he probably hadn't even noticed you. Which meant it was the perfect opportunity to ambush him.
You mpved quickly, coming in from the side hard enough to knock your shoulder into Din's, making him stumble to the side with suprise before turning to glare at you.
"Y/n? I'm happy to see you but did you really have to do that?" Din fired at you, sighing. He loved you. He really did. But sometimes he wished he could feed you to the alligator turtle.
"You haven't introduced me to your friend yet big brother." You tell him with your hands raised. "Too bad you don't have much of a brain bucket head."
Din sighed and rolled his eyes. "This shrimp is my little, adopted sister y/n. She's usually this rude, so I would suggest you learn to put up with her."
You snorted. "I'm only rude to you."
"Yeah, that means your still rude."
You flip him off, and Din laughs before pulling you into a one-armed hug as Bo watches, amused.
"So you're the famous Bo Katan of House Kryze." You look at Bo and smile under your helmet. "Would it be appropriate to call you Princess or my lady?" You offer softly.
Bo laughs a little. "Both are acceptable." She pauses. "I wasn't expecting a warm reception."
"Why? We're all Mandalorians?" You reply. "And you were bathed in the living waters, your following the creed."
Din nods. "She's right. You also saved my life."
"Bonus points." You joke and Din laughs. You shift on your feet. "Would you like a tour?"
"...of your cave?" Bo teases.
You snorted. "It's not a cave. It's a home." You look at Din. "We won't be long."
"Alright. Just remember how upset the Armorer was when you were late to training last time. Don't take too long sister."
You shrug. "I know I know. I'll see you soon Din." You watched as he walks away, and turn to Bo; a bounce in your step as you take her hand and hold it, startling Bo a little.
"Sorry." You drop your hand. "I got a little too excited." You laugh nervously and Bo smiles.
"Din never mentioned you were so enthusiastic."
"Well...it keeps me going." You shrug and start to walk down a series of tunnels. You carefully point out the nursery, the common room, and the library as you go along. "It's going to be rather short. I'm learning how to forge."
"You're the Armorers Apprentice?" Bo asks, and she gives you a once over. Your rather small, and don't look particularly strong. But Bo also knows not to judge a Mando by their Beskar.
"Yeah, I have been since I was a kid, and they rescued me." You reply. "She paired Din and I up as battle buddies and things grew from there. I didn't have a family before I came here." You admit. "That's what's so nice about the tribe. We take care of each other."
"Even someone like me?" Bo asks warily.
"Especially people like you." You reply warmly. "You're not alone anymore, Lady Kryze."
Bo turns away for a moment and nods. "Not with you, I'm not." The comment is a little sarcastic, you think, but Bo sounds kind? You hesitate, and Bo looks at you again. "You have a way with welcoming people."
"I'm okay." You reply shyly and stop in front of a room. "This is your room. You get it all to yourself."
Bo looks in the whole in the wall of the cave. There's a bed, a chair and a storage crate. "Thank you."
"Anytime." You reply. You hesitate because you want to see more of Bo but don't want to scare her. "I could show you the ropes." You offer, and are delighted by Bo's laugh.
"Oh? Could you?" She teases, and your heart skips a beat.
"Oh. I'm a great tour guide." You tilt your head, and add; "Just as long as my big brother doesn't get in the way."
"No. We can't have that, can we?" Bo replies smoothly. "I'll find you tomorrow and you can teach me more about your tribe."
"This is the way." You reply automatically.
"This is the way." Bo answers after a moment, and you give her a bow as you depart. Waving over your shoulder and almost colliding with another mandalorian if the tribe. They gently push you away with a sigh and you apologise, Bo watching you go.
Maybe being part of the watch wouldn't be so bad after all. So long as she had you.

For Bo-Katan Week Day 3: Bo-Katan & Satine Pairing: Bo-Katan Kryze & Satine Kryze Characters: Bo-Katan Kryze, Satine Kryze, Mentioned Pre Vizsla, Mentioned Adonai Kryze Warnings: I feel like Pre Vizsla Admiration should be tagged asdfghjkl. I live for the ways the ship can be taken, and I just know Bo admired him so much, but fuck, that’s toxic as hell. Other than that, it’s just some sisterly fluff, and Bo-Katan being a cute kid before the wars can take their toll. Notes: I wasn’t happy with the first fic I wrote, so I wanted to throw together something smaller to make up for it asdfghjkl Word Count: 999 Summary: Before Satine could stop her, Bo-Katan was rising to her feet and tugging the comforter off of Satine’s bed to wrap around her small shoulders, a comical sight, truly, which had Satine stifling her laughter politely behind her hand as the girl started strutting around the room, dramatically throwing the corner of the blanket to the side each time she stopped and jutted her hip out. AO3 link: Here!
"Satine!" She could hear the sound of small feet hitting carpet as the young girl ran into her room. The blonde's head rose just in time to see her vod'ika crash through her bedroom door, a paper helmet with too much tape sitting on top of her head. "Satine!" Bo-Katan called once more, excitement palpable. "I'm boooored!" Bo drawled as she moved further into her clean room.
There was a quick glance back at her data pad.. studying the rise of government on Mirial could wait, Bo-Katan always knew the best ways to drag out everything in her room and make an awful mess. Turning in her chair proved to be the right move, as the redhead threw herself into her ori'vod's lap the moment she was facing her.
Bo-Katan was still her little sister, but her growth spurts were finally hitting, soon, her little sister wouldn't be so little anymore. Gangly limbs wrapped around her immediately as the redhead got herself comfortable. "Bored? How can you be bored?" Satine questioned with laughter in her tone. "I thought you were training with Buir to be a verd?"
The young girl nodded her head quickly. "I am, but it's no fun without you anymore," Yellow-green eyes peered over her shoulder, to the datapad. "What're you doing in here that's more important than training, anyways?"
“Well,” Satine shifted to adjust the younger girl in her lap. Satine had taken her creed, and her entire life had faced an upheaval. It had been a sudden, grinding change in the way her training shifted from combat and focus on her physical abilities, into learning the ins and outs of politics. She hadn’t been allowed to join Bo for her training for weeks, now, and she truly did miss her little sister. “There is a wide variety of different governments all across the galaxy, it is our duty to learn to navigate the different species peacefully,”
Bo-Katan’s brows furrowed as she read over the datapad on the desk. “Peacefully?” Satine’s smile twitched at the confused conviction in which the eight year old spoke, her buir had made the… executive decision that Bo-Katan would not need to learn these things, and Satine had known better than to question it externally, but there was always a wonder on if Adonai expected Bo-Katan to fit into the New world they were manifesting.
“Yes, peacefully,” The blonde clarified as she guided Bo-Katan’s interested hands from the device as she’d started to scroll and tap around. “How has training been going?” The question succeeded in diverting her attention, as the young vod’ika bounced in her lap with a burst of excitement.
“Buir’s friend came to visit! Pre Vizsla!” She exclaimed, Satine’s arms wrapping around her waist and pressing into her back to stop her from tumbling to the ground. “He taught me some of his moves, too!” Bo squirmed until Satine let her back down, reenacting the moves she’d been taught against imaginary enemies.
“He’s been fighting in the war, too! So you just know he has so many cool stories!” Bo-Katan gushed, giving up on showing Satine her new cool moves in favor of sprawling out against soft carpet, hands folding over her stomach with a leg raised in the air. “I wanna be just like him one day,” The dreaminess in Bo’s tone did not go unnoticed by Satine, who had winced at the small child’s admission, hopefully she would grow out of it, and soon.
“That is quite impressive,” Satine agreed with a small smile playing on her lips. Bo wasn’t aware of the larger plans at play, didn’t know that they may enter a new world where she would never be able to don their parent’s armor, that there would be no need to keep fighting. “I am glad you are taken with him, he is the textbook example of mandokarla,”
Bo nodded her head as she stared up at Satine. “He really is, and his armor is so cool, I can’t wait to learn how to use a jetpack,” Yellow eyes flickered to the transparisteel window to the view of mountains of Kalevala, already imagining herself flying through the spires. “Do you think Buir will let me have a cape when I get my armor? Or d’ya think it’ll be too flashy? I think I wanna be dramatic,”
Before Satine could stop her, Bo-Katan was rising to her feet and tugging the comforter off of Satine’s bed to wrap around her small shoulders, a comical sight, truly, which had Satine stifling her laughter politely behind her hand as the girl started strutting around the room, dramatically throwing the corner of the blanket to the side each time she stopped and jutted her hip out.
Bo-Katan strutted all throughout the room, before once again coming to her Ori’vod, clambering in her lap once more without preamble and dragging the blanket up with her. Satine shifted to wrap it more securely around the both of them now. “Are you tired?” The teenager questioned as Bo’s head settled against the crook of her neck.
“mhm,” A small yawn, stifled by a small face turning to press into her shoulder. “Don’t tell buir, I’m ori’verd,” The time of naps was only a few short years ago, but Satine wasn’t about to deny her vod’ika the luxury after she’d spent all morning and afternoon out in the training yards.
“You are ori’verd, a sleepy ori’verd,” Satine agreed, raising her fingers to card through soft red hair, brushing out tangles with her fingers as deep breaths eventually evened out. It was always so amazing how fast the child could fall asleep after ‘the zoomies’ hit. Satine kept her fingers carding through her hair while she returned to her data pad with her free hand. As much as she wanted to drift into the calm embrace of sleep with Bo, it was safer to continue her studies, especially if their buir came looking for either of them for their respective training.

For the fic writer asks, how about ❤️, 💕, 💭, 💛, and 🦋?
❤️ What is your favorite line that you’ve written in a fic?
“Solus,” he directed her eyes to look into his, “you are as much a Mando’ade as anyone else. Having lightsabers or using the Force doesn’t make you a Jedi. The same as wearing beskar’gam and some half-heartedly attempts to follow orders doesn’t make you Mando’ade. Every battle you’ve fought in this war has been fought as one of us.”
-
💕 What is your favorite fic that you’ve written?
Okay, I have next to now published fics meaning there's none I can actually link for this. It's probably a fic that got dubbed "Secret Sharing" in the google doc to give it a name.
The fic is set in an AU where Solus got pregnant before she left the Order; it's the same twins, Jila and Tarre, just arriving two-ish years sooner with no planning. But, it's her on Krownest and actually having to talk to Pre as her Manda'lor and leader but also the father of her children. Solus, someone toting impressive amounts of PTSD (many sources), anxiety, and sheer exhaustion, wanted to keep it quiet as long as possible. Her plan was to be ahead of the narrative but that collapsed. Then to the shock only her everything is more than okay.
It's just a feelsy piece for me where Solus gets to made to feel at home again. Internally she expected there to still be strings attached when she showed up. Like, she could join Death Watch but she would still be an Other due to her past. Then what happens isn't the past repeating itself. She has a completely positive interaction with her superior, Pre, unlike most of her interactions with the High Jedi Council. There's also this assurance that he doesn't doubt her strength or capability in doing this on her own. But, she doesn't have to be alone.
-
💭 What inspires you and your writing?
There's no measurable rhyme or reason for my inspiration. Sometimes it's a song or a writing prompt or a trope I want to explore. Other times, I have an idea pop into my brain that demands attention right that moment.
Something I do try to include for though is Arc Questions. It gives me a goal to write and develop my characters toward. For example, with my major fic I'm working on with Solus it's a question about Identity. There's the comparison made in the series of "Your lightsaber is your life." (It's probably one of my favorite lines in Star Wars because of the endless possibilities.) She wields two as two individual weapons but never combined as a staff. When one is broken on Concordia the question for her, someone with two separate, conflicting identities, is now, "Which part of you died: the Jedi or the Mandalorian?" Then the story and her growth works in part to answer that.
-
💛 What is the most impactful lesson you’ve learned about writing?
Honestly, that improvements aren't linear or predictable nor does everything have to follow the exact plan. I'm a little bit of a control freak about my own life in terms of I have a schedule and plans and immensely dislike deviation with out advanced notice. But, my best writing is done when I let go of the control. Things evolve and bloom in unexpected ways that frankly turn out better in the end.
-
🦋 Which character is your favorite to write?
This is so difficult because there's so many characters I adore writing. From canon characters, it's probably tie between Pre Vizsla and Jill Valentine. Carlos Oliveira and Bo-Katan Kryze are close seconds because I am a simple person. I see a character that becomes my all time favorite (preferably with Fun Trauma) then I write them, possibly getting more trauma or having soft times. Then from my OCs, it's Solus Ve'tra followed by Jila Ve'tra and Nico Bright.

from the ask list thing— bo-katan, for whichever ones you want/all:D
Aaaaa thank you! I did almost all of them but left out a few that I couldn't think of anything good for. Without further ado--
— a fun headcanon
She is really good at video games, especially FPS and strategy games (naturally.) She grew up kind of a loner and spent most of her teens holed up in her room not knowing what to do with herself, and this was one of her major pastimes.
— a sad headcanon
The scar on her forehead came from a near-miss of being fatally stabbed during an attack on the palace during the civil war, when she was only about 6-7. Fortunately she managed to dodge just enough for the blade to graze her skin and nothing worse. (I have a lot of uh. much sadder headcanons from this same night/event, but I’m not revealing them yet because I want to turn them into a proper fic >:D )
— a headcanon that canon doesn't disprove (yet lol, this could change in mando s3 now that we’re getting more Bo history)
She joined Death Watch ~4-5 years before TCW canon, but continued to feign a normal life in Sundari and a relationship (albeit a strained and not-very-close one) with Satine while actively double-crossing her and plotting to overthrow her behind her back. Satine didn’t find out any of this until right after the shit went down with Death Watch being exposed in general.
— a headcanon to spite canon, specifically
She is somewhere between 23-26 during TCW. Not 17. Not the same age as Satine. Early to mid 20’s. I will die on this hill.
— a headcanon about their family
Mom Kryze was not born a Mandalorian, she was the eldest daughter of a prominent Kalevalan noble family, and was adopted into the culture when she married Adonai... who was not a Duke until he married into her family, just an influential warlord and the head of clan Kryze.
— a missing scene that definitely happened
Not so much a headcanon but a speculation… something fucking intense must have gone down for her to lose the darksaber to Moff Gideon because?? she’s amazing at weilding it as we now see???
— I recognize canon has made a decision, but given that it's a stupid-ass decision, I've elected to ignore it (+ what should have happened)
This is a bit controversial but in my headcanons, I tend to massively dial down her regret, deradicalization, and general arc towards redemption in favor of keeping her unhinged and villainous, just a bit more subdued with age. She’s just so fun and entertaining to me when she’s terrible….. I am happy with the direction they're taking her in current canon too though!
— something they believe about [other character] that isn't true
I headcanon that she had a lot of irrational, sometimes bordering on delusional, hate for her sister that often wasn’t based on anything true, but was founded on a twisted and dramatized misinterpretation of things she believed to be true about Satine and her actions, intentions, ideology, etc.
— their happiest memory
Having her dad's armor reforged to fit her and putting it on for the first time. I feel like it was kind of a “second birth” moment for her.
— favorite fanon relationship
I fucking live for anyone who writes Death Watch era Bo and Gar Saxon as antagonistic barely-frenemies who constantly give each other hell, I don’t know why it’s so funny and perfect to me but it is
— favorite should have been canon relationship
God. listen. not to get on my bullshit but Bo/Pre Vizsla…. Yes as a romantic ship because I'm trash of them, but I also just think more of their relationship and their past together “should have been canon” in the sense that I wish it was explained and fleshed out more, no matter what the nature of their relationship was. I’m dying to know what their history is, how they met, how Bo joined Death Watch, how she ended up his second-in-command, etc. I’m happy with my headcanons but I want to know what officially went down too!
Ask Meme post for anyone who wants it!

I'm gonna say it: I think they should never have had to put in all of that set-up and rehashing of what happened in Boba Fett ep 5 .
Like, they really just said "cool we're gonna get Mando and Grogu to the *throne room* and in there is a disillusioned *Bo Katan* and then that's when we stop" as if that's meant to be a really satisfying start to the season. I know that recently there was that weird Jon Favrou lore drop about how the first 2 seasons took place over a couple of years, and they might be wanting to try and convey *time passing* in going to nevaro and going to the armorer and what have you, but this feels really off-kilter in a strange way.
From where I'm standing, they should have started the episode with Din already heading to Mandalore and Bo-Katan and gone from there. There's plenty of time to establish time skips, maybe even sprinkle it in to off-handed dialogue, maybe Din is in a call with Karga as he's approaching the planet and karga expresses how much he wants Din to see the refurbished town or whatever.
It annoys me as well that as much as streaming services have ruined the modern media consumption, larger properties have the space to utilize streaming culture. They treated this episode like we needed to be coddled and we needed to be retold all of the things that Din is aiming for this season, when they just completely ignored the incredible marketing opportunity to tell everyone to start their re-watch of the previous seasons, maybe even restructure some of the things on disney+ to put those Boba Fett episodes under the Mandalorian banner proper, and ignored how they could really lean into that aspect of how streaming as a whole works at its fundamentals. We didn't need to be re-told everything.
They could have generated so much more hype, but most importantly, could have given the writers and the rest of the creative team so much more time to really explore and have fun with the show if they just let them start from a point that actually matters to the story. Think about how it's going to be in future re-watches of the series as well, we as the audience right now know why this sort of thing makes a little bit of sense, there was a pandemic and nothing could be worked on for 2~ years, but going back later will make this episode look even worse.
Look, I know that there's probably a lot of intricate things do with contracts and episode orders and the like, especially with the disney overlords being as restrictive as they are, but they really did not need to have that entire episode be low-energy set-up, especially with how the previous seasons have ended. If anything, they should be ramping up the tension for the start of every season.
Something, something, artistic intent and the flow of a story, you get the gist of what I wanted to say.
(Let's try and ignore how those Boba Fett episodes should have been put-up as a mid-season-break bonus episode for The Mandalorian. We all know why this episode was messed up, and idk who was in charge of Boba Fett but they really put Mando's team through the ringer and it shows.)
((still love the show though, those moments with Grogu and Dad I mean Din are goddamn Delightful))
oh I 100% agree! the pacing of this ep was just weird and it felt very much like half of it was a recap of what we already knew. like if you're gonna sideline boba fett in his own damn show to set up this season, then why are we needing the same information fed to us again? like yeah, the armorer wants din to atone in the waters of mandalore. we knew that. mandalore is considered by most to be an uninhabitable wasteland. we knew that too. and yeah, the trip to nevarro felt unnecessary and pretty much like the writers were like 'hey, here's something to show that time has passed!' which is even further confusing the timeline. plus the stuff with IG-11? also felt unnecessary, and kind of led me to believe that the episode was going to centre around din attempting to fix him until we showed up on that planet with bo-katan. and then it just. ended there? it felt like everything and yet also nothing happened in that episode.
but no, I agree that the moments with din and grogu were adorable, especially with din teaching grogu about the ship and really cementing grogu's choice to be a mandalorian like his dad. I like that they kept that consistency around that choice and didn't backtrack it with din contemplating sending him back to a jedi again or anything like that to create another point of conflict (although I do find it funny that of all the things they needlessly recapped from those bobf eps, they didn't explain why grogu is back with din - like yeah, if you didn't watch bobf, we'll explain everything else to you again BUT why din went from tearfully bidding his son goodbye to once again carting him around the galaxy).
I'm hoping that things will pick up and get into the groove again with the next couple episodes, and I don't think that this episode was all bad, but I think it was definitely a drop in quality from the opening episodes of the first two seasons.
#thank u for your thoughts#i hand you back more like we are exchanging cool rocks on the playground#but yeah fingers crossed things get better from here#the mandalorian#the mandalorian spoilers#the mandalorian s3

🌿 🌻 for Force of Nature!!!!
🌿 who is your favourite character you've ever written?
It changes depending on which part of the story I'm writing, but at the moment it's probs Adonis Kryze. He has been a really fun character to develop/write.
There's something delightful about writing a smug antagonist. He's so self-assured about his evil plans + is such a great foil to Melinoe due to his unabashed confidence in using the Force to hurt others.
A part of me is tempted to keep him as a main antagonist throughout the og triolgy, but him getting defeated by the time of Revenge of the Sith works best with where the story is going? (+ I can just explore in living in an AU)
Oh, but you know who else I really enjoy brainstorming/writing? Cordelia and Loxas. The two are so sweet, and I love writing leaders who genuinely care about their people.
The early stages of their relationship where they're getting to know each other quirks right after they got married just give me the giggles. I also really like how a lot of people are like "Man must be tough being in an arranged marriage" but the two of them truly love each other and agree that being married to each other is great. They have never once thought it was "tough".
... oops thats three characters.
🌻 least favourite character / hardest to write
Honestly, I find Satine hard to write for. Not because I dislike her. I actually find it easy to write characters I don't like.
She is the only character in the Force of Nature canon I do not know what to do with. Like... I dunno, I have endings in mind for Adonis, Bo Katan (and I dislike Bo Katan a lot more than Satine trust me), and even Korkie, but when I try to think of how I want to deal with Satine my mind just goes blank.
I don't want to outright kill her because it's just not interesting (+ that whole thing of the only reason she was killed in canon was to make Obi-Wan feel sad). But I also can't see her becoming buddy-buddy with the main cast. Especially Melinoe and the Karaay Family.

please was not a word she said often, to anyone; it was a level of vulnerability that most did not see. her shoulders relaxed when bo-katan told her she would stay, the feeling of comfort washing over her, making her eyelids heavy. she let the other woman lie her down, her exhaustion finally starting to catch up to her. laying next to someone was completely different than sleeping alone -- the warmth of bo's body radiated off of her, pulling the armorer in like a magnet. she'd never even considered the possibility of this happening to her. of laying next to the woman she loved, after being held and kissed by her as though she deserved it. she turned her head, looking at bo-katan as she laid down and faced her, whispering a pet name to her and reaching a hand out to touch her cheek. even though she had cried all the tears she thought she had, she still felt a lump in her throat at the gentle contact. in time, this would be something she'd have to deal with. for now, though?
for now, she relaxed into the furs, let her body finally calm down entirely. distantly, she wondered how many days it would be before she could bathe herself. it was mortifying to think someone else would have to do it for her. "you can fall asleep," she replied, nuzzling against bo's hand. she had never been in love before, not like this. she hadn't realized how all consuming it would be. she had known for a while that she had strong feelings for bo-katan, but it wasn't until the woman had taken over her every waking thought that she had been forced to recognize that it was more than just a crush. the fact that was reciprocated was a miracle in her eyes.
"when you check on the others," she began, closing her eyes. "just tell them i'm alright." don't tell them i broke the creed was her unspoken next words. she still had no idea how she was going to deal with that. to be frank, she didn't want to speak it out loud right now anyway, and ruin the moment. she opened her eyes again, looking at bo. "and allow yourself the grace to not feel guilty for this mission gone wrong. there will be many more in the future that do. you can rest here for as long as you need."
when bo-katan asked if there was anything she could do, she considered it for a moment. there was lots to be done, in general, and probably lots more to be done about her own injuries. she would need to clean up, apply salve to the more obvious wounds, bandages over the things that needed to be covered up. then there was the fact that they had to check on all the others and do the same with them. she knew for a fact at least one mandalorian had been beat as badly as she had, although she hadn't noticed who it was when they'd been dragged away. the people needed to know that their leaders were well and safe. she would need to clean this bloody bedding. find a way to move again. exercise her body until the aches stopped.
but, none of that was a concern for this exact moment. rather, after bo asked what she could do for her, the armorer only let these thoughts visit for a brief moment before she smiled. a real, genuine smile, one that was always hidden under the helmet, one that a real person hadn't seen in ages.
"no," she replied softly, reaching a hand up to take bo's so she could bring it up to her lips and kiss the back of her knuckles. she had no idea how she was supposed to go on with her life after this, knowing how bo-katan felt under her lips, seeing her at her most vulnerable. she knew these moments would never leave her mind, even if sleep was finally starting to take her. "no, my love. i'm the happiest i've ever been. thank you."
she'd thanked her so many times tonight, but it was only fitting that her final words before sleep finally took her would be just that. the very last thing she'd expected when she'd woken up this morning had been this, but it worked out for her in the end. the injuries were almost forgotten, despite the pain. she almost felt like she was another person entirely, considering how astounding it was that she got to have this, got to deserve it. for now, fuck everything else. she would let herself be happy. and she did, as she finally drifted off into a slow sleep, her body relaxed on her back, knowing that, for once, she was completely safe.
bo-katan could not be sure of that last time that she had been held or even touched with such kindness. she did not allow herself this level of connection with someone, if she was going to be honest with herself. she wasn't even sure if she had a reason or if she simply just didn't know if she deserved it. but she let herself, for now, believe that she did. the armorer had always been someone that bo-katan had admired and respected. the woman had commanded countless mandalorians and held herself with a poise that bo was sure she would never possess herself. bo wasn't envious of it -- it was simply just a statement of truth. she was too rough around the edges, too outspoken to ever hold that description.
but for now, she did not care about how the world perceived her or the armorer. for now, they were two people locked in an embrace that she wanted to stay in forever. only one of bo-katan's arms went around the woman, keeping on the opposite side of her injury. even though she was on the opposite side of the growing bruise, bo-katan's touch was still light, still delicate upon the armorer's skin. it was still a struggle to think in some moments that had caused so much destruction and loss, and yet the armorer found comfort in her embrace, in the touch of hands that had caused so much harm. it made bo want to pull her in closer, to never let the woman leave her grasp. a heavy breath escaped her lips at the words spoken, eyes shutting. she would not forget this moment for as long as she lived, that much she was sure of. she would not forget the feeling of belonging so deeply to someone else.
gentle fingers moved along the skin of the armorer's back at the feeling of lips upon her neck. the small places their bodies touched, the small actions by the armorer, had her mind spinning. she wanted so desperately to never lose this connection. to never lose the feeling of someone wanting her, just as she wanted them. there was so much violence, so much loss, in the history of their people. for once, bo-katan knew what it was to experience peace. peace in the arms of someone that loved her.
" you don't have to thank me. " while it was true that bo-katan wouldn't do this for just anyone, she didn't know of a path that bo would have taken that didn't include saving the armorer and attempting to get her to safety. despite knowing who she was and knowing her past, she could not simply leave her there to die. " i know that you would do the same thing for me. " maybe she didn't know that for sure, but knowing now how the woman in her arms felt, she could not imagine the armorer leaving her to a horrible fate. not after all of this. even when bo first had met her with din, she was sure that even then, the woman would have at least tried to save her. she didn't seem like the kind of person to give up that easily.
" i'll stay. " bo-katan was exhausted. her body was stiff from sitting in the chair for so long, and she ached for just a few short hours of sleep. " i'll rest for a bit and then i need to go check on the others. " it was said with the intention that she would not simply fall asleep and rest for countless hours like she knew she inevitably would. she had told axe woves to help the others and keep things in order while she was gone, so in her mind, she could take a few hours to catch up on sleep she had been missing over the last day and a half. gentle hands moved around the armorer to touch her arms, pushing her just enough to guide her to lay down. bo took the time to turn slightly to lay down as well, laying on her side as she looked at the woman next to her.
" rest, cyar'ika. " the name slipped from her lips easily and without much thought. bo supported her head by bringing her arm beneath it, still looking at the armorer. " i'm glad that you're alright. " even if she said it already, she felt the need to say it again. she had been through so much with her during the recent past, and bo-katan knew that she would not be ruling mandalore if it were not for her. they would not have the numbers they did today, rebuilding their long destroyed planet. bringing a hand to the armorer's cheek, she brushed a few strands of hair behind her ear. bo's hand rested there for a moment, her thumb brushing against the skin of her cheek.
" i'm sorry if i fall asleep, " she said, her voice gentle. " i'll try to stay awake for a while. " the sleep in her bones was settling in, and as much as she wanted to say that she would stay up to make sure that the woman next to her didn't need anything, she knew that she would fail at the task.
" is there anything i can do? " bo knew that there was not much she could say or do to help this situation -- all the armorer needed was time. and yet, bo-katan felt helpless. it was a strange feeling, to feel as if she needed to do anything and everything for the woman next to her. she could not place a time where she had ever felt anything like this, not even a fraction of this. there was some invisible force pulling her towards the armorer, and there had been since the beginning. " i can help you wrap your wounds later, if you want help. i may not be a medic, but i've wrapped my own share of injuries. "
#✮⋆˙ the armorer. ━━ ( threads )#featherstcnes#IM SO SICK. theyre soulmates#we can end it there if you'd like and start something else!#or you can keep going if you get inspired#either way im miserable theyre literally married#i dont think this one warranted a readmore its not that long.#huzzah

Star War As Star Trek AU: I Still Don't Have A Coherent Plot Idea But Here's Quinlan
At first I thought I'd make our favorite psychometric Kiffar some sort of Garak equivalent. But then, I remembered something. Quinlan is a being of chaos who comes in, flirts, and leaves devastation in his wake. There is only one character in Trek who could possibly fit (that doesn’t have god-like powers anyway).
That's right. Quinlan's now the Lwaxana Troi of this AU.
He comes in, flirts platonically with Obi-Wan, makes Cody want to throw him out an airlock, helps Anakin almost blow up the warp core, and calls Rex "Mr. Fetch".
He's still psychometric, an ability that I'm planning to make a common Kiffar ability.
I want to say he's an important member of Starfleet Intellegence. Like, a Commodore or Rear Admiral. It's only Cody's love of proper procedure and respect for rank that keeps him from tossing Quinlan into the holodeck with the safety protocols off.
When Korkie comes into the picture Quinlan acts as fun uncle Quin, giving the kid advice on life and how to flirt. Korkie ignores most of this, because he has sense, and because his grandpa made sure he got the talk (Adonai was not going to let another generation of his family forget birth control exists — *cough* Satine *cough* — or that healthy relationships have things like boundaries and respect — *cough* Bo-Katan *cough*).
Quinlan’s version of “The Dark Pages” repressed memory is his great-aunt forcing him to hold his parents Guardian Badges and experience their murders psychometrically. (This is an actual thing that happened in Legends. Evil great-aunt Tinté was a horrible old lady.)
At one point everyone thinks Quinlan’s defected to the Confederacy, and Obi-Wan’s feeling all betrayed. Lots of “how could he do this?!” angst moments. Starfleet Intelligence interrogates him like seventy times because he was one of Quinlan’s best friends. Siri’s placed on temporary leave from her position at Intelligence, and Aayla’s promotion to Captain suddenly isn’t happening.
Then Obi-Wan gets assigned a mission to pick up a deep cover operative and a Confederacy defector and surprise! It’s Quinlan and Ventress.
The whole defection was an undercover assignment and the treatment everyone got was meant to sell the ruse. Starfleet got intel that Ventress wanted to defect, sent in Quinlan, and the rest is history. Except for those Confederacy ships priming weapons, maybe you wanna get us out of here Obi?!
Everyone on the Resolute notices Quinlan and Ventress are a lot closer than they should be, because they're about as subtle as a brick to the face and are constantly making out in crowded hallways. Obi-Wan tries to talk to him about it, but Quinlan's playing dumb and after the last 2 months Obi-Wan just doesn't have the energy. To borrow a Voyager quote:
Quinlan: How the hell do you know when we're having intimate relations?
Obi-Wan: There is no one on Deck 9, Section 12 who doesn't know when you're having intimate relations.

Chapter 3: Pensiveness
Then, he was worried about the Jedi, who knew his face. What would the armorer say about this? She would say he wasn't a Mandalorian anymore. But, what about if he never said a word about it. Cara had a point. No. This is not the way.
Din was going to tell her about how he broke the creed. He couldn't help it. But, was she still alive?
His mind went back to the Jedi. Again. Din was thunderstruck. The way this warrior destroyed all those dark troopers, that took his breath away. What a warrior this man is.
The force might be something really powerful if a refined, small, handsome man like the Jedi could be able to make such a fine warrior out of himself. Warrior. That word again. Din thought.
A week passed since Din said goodbye to Grogu. Seven days of empty arms. Seven days of silence. Din was embracing the fact that he did what was the right thing to do. This is the way.
He was on Mandalore now, a dead planet, he thought, this was his life now, he was the King of a dead planet, a King without people. It suited him.
Oh, yes, and there was Bo-Katan, Din wasn't fond of her, she was useful, yes, but not a good person, he believed, she was a good Mandalorian though.
"Mand'alor, these are your headquarters." She said, walking Din through a great hall, it was clear this place had witnessed better days.
"Would you just take this laser sword from me now?" Resting both hands on his hips, Din needed to try one last time.
"We already talked about this!" She was clenching her jaw and stared at Din's visor in a very intense way.
Din moved closer to her, facing her, a few inches apart. "Take. The. Kriffing. Thing!"
"No!"
They kept staring at each other until Koska and Axe came on sight. Bo-Katan moved away and resolved "You're the Mand'alor. Act like it!" Then looked at Koska "Reeves, take our Ruler to his room. I'm done for today."
Koska gestured to Din to come beside her. "Mand'alor? This way, please."
Mandalore sunset was dusty and red, Din was feeling even sadder, if that was possible.
"We settled this room for you, Mand'alor." Koska was looking around the chamber, Din stared at her, she was a strong woman, with dark hair and dark skin, big brown eyes. She was the opposite of Bo-Katan, Din thought, she seemed kind and righteous.
"Don't call me that." And she snapped his head in Din's direction.
"Mand'alor?" She asked.
"Yeah, call me Mando, please." She won't, he knew it. "What are you doing around someone like Bo-Katan? You're different..." Din couldn't help but ask.
"Goodnight Mand'alor?" She tilted her head as she arched an eyebrow at him and then she walked out of the room.
Din was alone again. Alone, without Grogu.
He started to peeling his armour off, except for the helmet and his flight suit. While he was on his new bed his thoughts ran to Grogu. What was he doing at that very moment. Is he alright? Is he safe? Is he happy? Maybe he's in need of a good hug, or a ride, yeah, that womp rat would love some adventure. He knew that.
Wait. Handsome? Refined? Din was asking to himself. What was wrong with him? It wasn't like he was now thinking of those big bright blue eyes. No. Or that mouth. No. Or the way he fluttered his eyelashes when he was looking into Din's visor, in a way that he was burning his soul. Din wondered what those cheeks would feel against the skin of his gloveless hands.
Din sat up on his new bed with a sharp inhale. This wasn't good. This train of thoughts. Not good. Not at all.
He fell asleep a few minutes later, the next morning he was sure he dreamt about Grogu. And tried to ignore the fact that he dreamt about the handsome Jedi as well.
~
Coruscant, present.
Leia knock the apartment's door, Din answered, in full beskar and Grogu snug in the crook of his arm.
"Mand'alor! Good." She came inside, Din closed the door behind her. "I'm so sorry, my nerf-herder brother didn't tell you about room service and..." Din moved his free hand like easing the conversation.
"All settled, Senator. I called room service already. Grogu's waiting. He was... eager." Din chuckled.
"You called room service." She said, a half smile on her face, staring at Grogu and then at Din again "Of course you did." And she was regretting thinking this man couldn't manage himself on Coruscant.
Din looked down at Grogu and stroked his ear. Grogu was happily cooing. "Yeah."
"Mand'alor, do you know Coruscant?" She asked, her stance and voice changed.
"No, not actually. This is the first time I'm here." He said, meeting her eyes.
"Alright then, maybe you can go around our city tomorrow. Grogu and you. Luke can take you around. He told me he wants to give you a tour."
Din was suddenly tense. So tense that Grogu looked up and tried to meet his helmet with both hands. Leia added "If that's okay with you."
"Yes!" He said and he sounded enthusiastic. Great, the Senator was now holding a laugh at him. "I mean... Uh... I can go... Tour... Around..." He was sweating.
"Oh, I'm telling Luke right now. He's gonna be here, ten sharp. Don't make him wait. Goodnight both!" And she closed the door before Din could articulate any word.
Din look down to meet Grogu's eyes "You felt that, right? I'm sorry. I don't know what's going on with me these days. I'm okay, I promise." Grogu answered by laughing a cute baby laugh. "Seems like we're going on a tour tomorrow, we're going bed early today. Don't wanna make your Master wait for us."
Din couldn't sleep that kriffing night.

“Hurt” for the WIP ask?
oh boy let's see where my most ancient wips are, because i've realized now that none of my wips are..... concrete real wips. i just kinda start writing shit and drop it in a channel and forget about it. whoops. but i can search and see the last time i said "hurt"???
Satine only softens her gaze and “This is why I had to leave. You still love me, and this hurts you.”
(context under the cut!)
So, this comes from me looking at the story between Satine and Obi-Wan and being entirely sick of it. SO I'm throwing most of it right in the trashcan.
Satine, for starters, is no longer erasing Mandalorian warrior culture in the name of "peace and prosperity"; she was born and raised Kalevalan (which I can only assume Kalevala has long-since held royalty > war standards but at their core remember they are Mandalorians) as well as Bo-Katan, and the two brothers they also share. Blah blah blah, their father is assassinated, and their mother employs a divide and conquer plan to keep her children from suffering the same fate.
In short, Satine is sent to Coruscant to learn diplomacy where there are more guards to deal with and less opportunities to kill her. She meets Obi-Wan when Qui-Gon insists they need to go on a field trip to escort her safely, and yes - Obi-Wan and Satine fall in love. They're both well aware that they're two stupid teenagers in love with the last person in the galaxy they should be loving.
But once things uh. Ahem. Get a little steamy, Satine suddenly breaks things off with him and disappears. She does not contact him for roughly fifteen years. They do not see each other again until Obi-Wan, now a Jedi Ambassador to his Master's Jedi Diplomat, and realizes oh. He never stopped being in love with her.
(And to be fair to Obi-Wan, here's his deal - yes Qui-Gon was murdered on Naboo by Darth Maul. But the following events were greatly altered: - Obi-Wan was not appointed as Anakin's Master. Grandmaster Windu did not give one fuck about what Qui-Gon's dying wish was, because Obi-Wan is a 25 year old Padawan who has not had a lick of proper training and has been abandoned on a battlefield multiple times in his childhood. Anakin was given to another Master able to properly help him hone his power while Obi-Wan was checked into therapy and also given a new Master, who very effectively dads him and helps as best he can.) So he's seeing her again for the first time in fifteen years, and with Mandalore choosing neutrality - he had heard very little news besides a Duchess being appointed alongside the Mand'alor Bo-Katan Kryze. He could have only guessed that the Duchess was Satine, but was never strong enough to go looking for answers. He also saw a fourteen year old child doing some very familiar  poses..
She's still initially very cold and curt with him, because through her visor she can see how he lurches forward and wants to run right to her. She holds up a hands and tells him "business first", and runs the meeting with Master Drovaddal (Obi-Wan's new Master and the Diplomat) before dismissing everyone at its adjourning and summoning Obi-Wan to her side.
And there's the moment when he's wanting to ask a million questions, all of them racing behind his eyes, but one look at Satine answers them all. When she removes her glove and places a hand to his cheek, her heart breaks a little more when Obi-Wan moves into her touch. Because they're both still in love with one another, and both wish that things could have been just a little different in their favors.
But, they both have duties they cannot abandon. Satine had to leave and keep him in the dark or else Obi-Wan would have abandoned the Order and left no one in his place.
PERHAPS I HAVE FEELINGS ABOUT THEM and obligatory tags - @chiafett @purgetrooperfox @keys-to-the-stars since you all like me fixing this shit

What's the origin of your blog's title?
Cayde-6 is my favorite Destiny character (shocking,I know) and so I just meshed the acronym Bae (Before Anyone Else) and Cayde's name together.
Favorite Fandoms:
Cracks knuckles In no particular order: Destiny,(Old School) Disney,(mostly old school)Star Wars (The Mandalorian was fantastic),Elder Scrolls,Tolkien,Firefly, Baldur's Gate 3,Fable,Witcher,Dragon Age,Marvel,Batman,The Mummy,Indiana Jones,Mass Effect,Once Upon a Time,The Legend of Zelda,Back to the Future and almost anything involving Dragons. I really like dragons.
OTP(S) + shipname:
Dang,do we still do ship names?
Captain Swan from Once Upon a Time.
SHAKARIAN (Shepard and Garrus Vakarian otp,Mass Effect "No Shepard without Vakarian".)
Alistair and the Grey Warden (Dragon Age Origins, not sure what the ship name is)
FenHawke (Fenris/Hawke Dragon Age II)
Trevelyan and Cullen (Dragon Age Inquisition)
And every single oc I have with their respective partners. I don't really have ship names for any of them though, and even though my Hunter is probably my most fleshed out oc that I have,it's not like she has a fanbase that can name the ship(s) for me. 😂
(Tae+Cayde?Taelia + Crow? Idk don't judge me, I've never thought that hard about it.Taelia and Crow are both pretty bird themed though... I'm going to have to think about this now aren't I...?)
Favorite Color:
Blue,Pink,Purple,and Green.
(I know it says "color" as in a singular color, but I do what I want.)
Favorite Game: I've played Skyrim a ridiculous amount of times so probably Skyrim or Ocarina of Time.
Song stuck in your head:Mr.Brightside is usually a safe bet. That song lives rent free in my head for some reason.
(Higher Ground by Imagine Dragons is also in there a lot.)
Weirdest habit/trait:I'll do random impressions/accents sometimes. My friends seem to enjoy it though so that's all that matters to me. Sometimes they join in.❤️
Hobbies:Playing videogames with friends, reading, singing, watching movies. I used to paint and sketch, but I don't really do that anymore...I really should because I miss it,even if it's just for me.
If you could have any job you wish what would it be?
Something that makes me happy. Something involving art of some kind/where I have a creative outlet.✨
Something you're good at:
Being humble.✨
Something you're bad at:
Opening up to people about stuff that actually matters. Letting myself be vulnerable. So if I've let myself be vulnerable, even just a little around you, congratulations, you somehow started to break the surface of my nearly impenetrable emotional walls, keep chipping away and maybe you'll get somewhere one day. 👈👈😎
Something you excel at:
Making people laugh and being a good friend. It might not mean much to other people, but I'm proud of that. I know I'm the friend that I would want even though it's not always reciprocated/taken for granted by my friends.
Something you love:
Making people laugh.
Something you could talk about for hours without off the cuff:
(See fandoms above.)
Something you hate:I don't really hate anything...wait...this is ridiculously specific, but Tanlorin's hair in ESO. I can't with that stupid hair. I hate it with a burning passion. It's too modern for me for a High fantasy mmorpg.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
That and when guys act like girls can't/don't know how to play videogames I've had guys literally try to "teach" me things about games I've been playing longer than them. They also knew this when they asked.
I once had a guy ask me if I wanted him to walk me through the entirety (and I do mean the entirety) of BG3 (Hi! Hello! Regular honor mode player here.👋✨) and one asked me if I knew Skyrim had mods and if I knew how to install them. (This was after I told him how I had been playing Skyrim,at the time, for 5+ years.)
Something you collect: Nerd merch. I have a lot of Loki related items and different Funko pops. I also have a Ghost replica that lights up (not to mention a lot of nerd shirts/sweatshirts including a Cayde-6 one.)
Something you forget:
I'm not really sure. If I forget anything I must have forgotten it. 😉
(I have a good memory. So not much tbh.)
What's your love language?: Probably all, if we're being honest.
Favorite movie/show:
Movie:The Lion King (the original, not the cgi one)
Show:I've watched both Once Upon a Time and Firefly a ridiculous amount of times. Like...I know the dialogue as I'm watching it ridiculous (At least the first season of Once,I didn't memorize all of the seasons 😂).
Favorite food: Probably pizza? 🍕
Favorite animal:I really like Lions,Tigers and Wolves. Owls are my favorite bird.
Are you musical?: I was a theater kid growing up.I was in musicals and talent shows. I sing still. In school I played piano, drums, steel drums, trombone and guitar. Now I mostly use those talents as a bard in RP/videogames.😅 (A friend of mine and I recently watched the d&d movie and when the bard appeared she pointed at the screen and said "It's you!")
Favorite subject in school:English and music both have my heart.❤️
Least favorite subject:Math.
What's your best character trait?: I'm kind and just a really caring, loving person.
Worst character trait: That kindness does not extend to myself most of the time.
If you could change any detail of your day right now, what would it be?
A portal would open to one of my favorite fictional worlds near me.
If you could travel in time, who would you like to meet?
David Bowie,Robin Williams,Bob Ross,Steve Irwin,or for completely unrelated reasons,as of this post,Nathan Fillion about 20 years ago.👀
Recommend one of your favorite fanfics:
I don't really read fanfics that often. My friends send me a lot of their oc lore (one time a friend sent me 34 pages worth),so that.I love reading about my friend's OC's. As always,if anyone has recommendations, feel free to let me know.
I also have writer mutuals on here and I read their stories when I can.❤️
@imonthemoonitsmadeofcheese and @nova-rosa
I think I got all of the questions. I had to copy/paste them individually so I might have missed a couple,if I did,I apologize,it was late when I started doing these. 👀
I'm going to tag (but do not feel obligated to answer,just thinking about you.❤️) @crimsonmischief @dredgen-dumbass @imonthemoonitsmadeofcheese @nova-rosa @khaoticspartan @beyond-the-light @taniks-the-final-shape
Phew. I need a cup of coffee now.☕

9 and 12!
Whee! Questions from this post!
1. Favorite character to write?
I love writing the complicated characters—Din, Bucky, House, Jack Zimmerman—but my all-time favorite character to write is Remus Lupin. I know JKR lost her damn mind, but I loved Remus the moment I met him and I continue to. Complicated, gentle (I refuse to accept his later character assassination), wise, sad. All my favorite things. I'm now in love with Thorin Oakenshield (see below) because he is the ultimate broody character, dang.
—
12. What WIPs do you have going now? Are you excited about them?
Oh gosh, okay so:
All That You Can’t Leave Behind—Luke, searching the GFFA for Force-sensitive people, happens upon a magical Mandalorian and a baby-version of whatever Yoda was on a mysterious tropical island in the middle of space nowhere. I love this story and I know how it ends, but life got hectic when my cat became very ill and I stopped writing for a while. It’s not abandoned, but it is on hiatus. I plan to come back to it when things calm down since it's the more intricate story I have going on right now.
Don’t Just Stand There (Let’s Get To It)—nobody Luke Skywalker from a dinky little desert town meets world-famous actor Din Djarin at the Met Gala. There are longing looks across crowded rooms, stolen desserts, a run through the rain, Bo-Katan being a likable bitch, and Leia running the show. I’m very excited to work on this again!
Untitled Bagginshield Fic—I finally watched the Hobbit trilogy and while I have some criticisms, I enjoyed them. Naturally, my little shipper heart took Thorin and Bilbo’s dynamic and ran off shrieking with it, and now I have a tentative concept for a cheesy lil romance. No details yet, but I started writing! It won't be Tolkien pastiche, I don't have the energy for that, lol.
Thank you so much for the questions and for listening to me babble!

This episode was amazing
First, the bad things: Boba Fett and Bo-katan Kryze.
What left me really confused was the inconsistency of Bo-katan. She is a woman of tradition, as showed by her history with the darksaber, but when she confronted Boba she told him that he wasn't a true Mandalorian, then hinting the at the fact that it was because he was a clone. One of the best known Mandalorian tradition, after "kill everything that moves", is "adopt everything that moves". For Boba, Jango was his father, and according to Mandalorian culture, Jango was his father: Jango accepted Boba as his kid and realised him in the Mandalorian ways, thus, being Jango a Mandalorian, Boba is a Mandalorian, and Bo-katan saying such things makes no sense for her character.
Now to the good things
No one died: I may seem to be overreacting, but I really thought we were gonna loose a lot of people. I was sure that at least one mando was gonna die (I heard a lot of people theorize that Boba had been brought back just so he could have a better death, I honestly thought that they were gonna kill blue mando girl for drama in the middle of the episode, when Gideon shot Bo-katan I honestly thought she was gonna be dea??) and some other secondary character too.
Tie fighters: I just love when they go aaaaaaaaaaa
Dark troopers: they did a very good job in my opinion, they looked scary as hell, and when we first got rid of them I knew they were gonna come back, but we really got in the mind of the characters and go dragged away and forgot about them, and the suspense when they came back was maybe a but too long, but it really made you feel the hopelessness that everyone felt in that moment
The darksaber: first things first, I loved to see Din and Gideon fight: it wasn't the type of saber fight we're used to, it was a bit slow and less acrobatic and it showed perfectly how the two of them are not Jedi, they're just simple men with long sticks that know how to fight. Now Din is the rightful owner of the darksaber, and I think that the possibility of him having to to deal with being the rightfull ruler of mandalore is beautiful. Also him not wanting to fight Bo shows us how much of a softie he actually is and I love it.
Luke Skywalker: as soon as the X-Wing landed and the dark troopers turned to him I knew it was him. I honestly hoped we also got to see Cal Kestis but I do love to see my favourite twink on screen. We have a lot of ways the story can go now that Grogu is with Luke, and we will have some really nice things next seasons I'm sure. Also the way he killed the dark troopers? Awesome
Grogu and Din: the Child asked for the permission of his dad and honestly that was beautiful. I loved it. Upon seeing him maybe for the last time, Din said fuck death watch and decided that his ad'ika deserved to actually see his face and that broke my heart and was so sweet.
R2D2: best droid ever. Love him. Best character in the star wars universe. Was in the episode for two minutes and it made it 100 times better.
Boba and Fennec: they now rule the hutt influence in Tatooine? Whatever is coming in 2021? I love it.
Also the parallels:
#star wars#the mandalorian s2#din djarin#grogu#boba fett#bo katan kryze#luke skywalker#r2d2#darksaber

Games and Lies
summary: Ahsoka Tano returns! As the Generals who saw this former padawan grow up get excited for her arrival, there are unsaid truths waiting to be told.
paring: ahsoka tano x reader
word count: 1500+
warnings: none that I can remember...
author's note: I'm having a current unbearable obsession with tcw, so here you go.
ADMIRAL Yularen notified the Generals of a incoming transmission that should be taken back on the ship.
"We best get back then" General Obi Wan says as he feels something familiar in the force.
"Yeah we should," Anakin pauses looking at his padawan, "let's go little one."
You look at your Master and put your lightsaber on your hilt. The three Jedis walked back to get on a ship.
"Anakin, do you feel it?" Obi Wan asked. He spoke in a low tone, almost as if he didn't want the padawan to hear.
Anakin frowned and looked down. He almost didn't want to believe his own feelings, in doubt that he might be disappointed.
---
"Alright Admiral, what's so important you brought us all the way back here -" Anakin's words die out as his eyes fall on the back of his former padawan.
You stand behind Anakin feeling shocked. You haven't seen your friend in years, more its felt like.
"Ahsoka?" ___ whispered so quietly.
Anakin stares for was felt like lightyears. Your thoughts consumed you and you felt almost jealous, as if your Master never gave you the same reactions, which he didn't. Anakin was fond of you, but underneath his lies you knew Ahsoka was his favorite. As your mind clouded, you pushed the evil thoughts away and decided to be happy about your friend's return.
"Hello Master, its been a while" Ahsoka states as Anakin keeps staring. Everyone in the room exchanges looks before they speak a word.
"How are you Ahsoka?" You spoke up, breaking the silence.
"I'm alright, thank you. I wish we had more time to talk, but I have urgent information for the generals."
"What is it Ahsoka?" Obi Wan asked.
"Lady Bo Katan and I have located the renegade sith lord Maul. And if we move swiftly, we believe we can capture him."
Your eyes widen, quite surprised they were able to achieve such a assignment before the Jedi could.
---
Your mind was out in the Galaxy, for reasons you couldn't come to. You searched your feelings, not even bothering to listen to the conversation the Master Jedis were having.
"Right, [Y/N]" Anakin turns to you and see your head hanging low and the sadness in your eyes.
"Master," you pause keeping your head down, "does Ahsoka know I'm your new padawan?"
"No, but why does that matter?" Anakin asks as Obi Wan feels tension in the force.
You shake your head and look up into your Master's eyes, "forgive me Master. I let my emotions take control of me, it won't happen again."
Anakin frowns and sticks a eyebrow up, questioning his padawan's thoughts.
As Ahsoka emerges from the ship you straighten your posture and almost hide behind Anakin.
"Ahsoka, I'm so -"
"We'll have to catch up another time" Ahsoka says as she cuts her former Master off.
You smile at Ahsoka and give her a small wave as she smiles back too.
---
"So I see you're in the Jedi Council now" Ahsoka says as she walks down the halls with you.
"Actually," you stop and Ahsoka stands in front of you, crossing her arms, "I'm a padawan. Anakin's padawan."
Her arms fall to her sides a little shocked as she couldn't believe the words that just came out of your mouth. Ahsoka wasn't jealous, of course not. But she was questioning as to why Anakin would make such a decision. Did Anakin not want Ahsoka's memories anymore? Did Anakin want to replace Ahsoka because she wasn't worthy enough?
I would never let anyone hurt you, Ahsoka. Never.
The meaningful words played through the former padawan's mind. [Y/N] stood there looking at her friend's reaction to her words. [Y/N] thought that her best friend wouldn't even question her thoughts, but Ahsoka was questioning her thoughts. The padawan felt her friend's feelings as clear as words.
"Um, Ahsoka?"
"Sorry, I just -"
"[Y/N], Ahsoka. You better come quick." Obi Wan rushed in before Ahsoka could finish her words.
"Over course General. I'll be there in a minute, I just need to get something." You quickly state as Ahsoka followed Obi Wan. You knew that she was going to be surprised by Commander Rex and the boys. Anakin was also going to give Ahsoka her lightsabers.
You gave your friend a nod and left to your quarters.
As you turned the corners and finally arrived to your quarters, you entered before taking a glance at the hall ways. You lifted your pillow and found the anonymous note. It read:
Continue to phase 6
You looked up and took a deep breath. You can already sense its going to be a long few days coming up. You gathered your emotions and whispered so very quietly, I'm sorry Anakin.
---
"I can see the lightsabers suit you well" you softly interrupted the moment between the Jedi Master and the former Padawan.
Quickly things started happening. The alarms went off, Obi Wan ran in informing the group of the current situation, they talked amongst themselves of how they can split their forces. Soon they figured it out, and everyone was on their way.
You noticed as Ahsoka and Anakin looked at each other for more than a moment. You decided to allow them to have their moment without you.
"I'll wait for you in the ship with Bo Katan, Ahsoka." You turn to your Master, "I'll see you when this is over Master." You slightly dip your head in Anakin's direction.
As soon as you walked away, Ahsoka moved towards Anakin.
"I feel a strong pull in the force to [Y/N]. I sense regret, sadness, and betrayal" Ahsoka frowns and Anakin creates a worried look on his face.
"Ahsoka," he puts a hand on her shoulder, "everything will be fine. Should something happen, you need to contact me immediately."
"Don't worry, I'll keep my eyes open."
---
Chaos covered Mandalore and death was only the beginning. Explosions erupted as ___ and Ahsoka can feel this distress from the people through the force.
"Uh, one of you might want to deal with that" Maul suggests.
Ahsoka quickly turns Bo Katan, "you should go. Your people need you."
Maul sighs and stands up sarcastically saying, "don't stay on my account. We'll be fine."
"Go" you urge Bo Katan as she puts her helmet back on. Ahsoka and the Jedi turn and prepare themselves for Maul.
"Look at them. So blissfully ignorant"
"Care to tell us what this is all about? Or would you rather save it for the Council?" You questioned.
Maul chuckles, "oh, no, no. Ahsoka dear, you are the one I wish to speak with."
You look at Ahsoka and question what Maul wants with her.
"Were you not cast out of your order?"
You feel threatened and start to sense a plot. Slowly you reach down and put your hand on your lightsaber. Before you were unable to unhook it, Ahsoka looks at you and shakes her head, causing you to drop your hand.
"I left voluntarily" Ahsoka says.
"Yes, but you were motivated to leave of the hypocrisy of the Jedi Council" you could tell Maul was trying to persuade Ahsoka. You stick a eyebrow up, wondering what his angle was.
[Y/N] could tell the words took Ahsoka unexpectedly.
"We were all tools, for greater power," Maul states and Ahsoka tries to reason with the renegade sith lord.
"I am here to put you to justice" Ahsoka continues.
"Justice is merely the construct of the current power base. A base in which, according to my calculations, is about to change."
"And Darth Sidious is behind it?"
"No he's not-" you take out your lightsaber and active it, "I am."
Ahsoka is slightly slow to process the words you spoke. Maul stands and listens.
"[Y/N], what are you talking about?"
"Ahsoka you don't understand, even if I could explain it to you!" You speak almost as if you're desperate. Desperate to be free.
"Your a traitor! You've fought besides those clones who are brothers! You saved their lives, how could you now turn on them? Most of all, you fought and trained beside the greatest Master of all time."
"Please Ahsoka, please! Anakin was an amazing Master-"
"You don't deserve him. Or the Jedi." Ahsoka was developing a harsh tone.
"Please - I know you sense my pain. I don't want to do this!"
"I've played games enough to see through a lie."
Ahsoka's words were hurting you, but you knew there was no going back from here on out.
Ahsoka uncliped her lightsabers and ignited them. She got into her defense position and you did too. Maul ran, neither of you thought about going after him. For the both of you knew the fight was between the former padawan and the padawan of the dark side.
"I'm sorry it had to come to this. I truly did love your company Ahsoka." With that, the fighting began.
